Mental Health Adult Foster Care

A pleasant blue house, one of our adult foster care homes.Adult Foster Care (AFC) is for individuals with a serious and persistent mental illness that would benefit from the support and supervision of mental health professionals on a daily basis. Community Involvement Programs (CIP) currently operates six Mental Health Adult Foster Care homes; each home provides a safe and supportive living situation for four individuals.

Staff provide training and assistance with daily living skills, goal oriented support and medication management. Staff also provide some transportation within the community. In case of crisis, staff are trained to respond. All six locations have obtained a certification as Mental Health AFCs.
