Would you like to contribute your time and talents to support people with disabilities? We have volunteer opportunities to fit just about every talent, interest and time-commitment.

A recent volunteer named Lucy emailed us to say:

I love volunteering with CIP because it allows me to connect with my community, explore the twin cities, and work with a great organization that provides sincere and meaningful services to people.

It’s wonderful to see how this volunteer program has been built around each resident’s specific needs and interests. The staff here care about the human experience, which is evident in the volunteer opportunities available to me. When I go on an outing with a resident, it’s like spending an afternoon with a friend, because the volunteer program has matched our interests in order to give everyone involved a lovely experience! I’m so thankful to have connected with an organization who is so truly committed to their mission and vision, and the volunteer program has developed as an extension of that authentic, compassionate environment.

We are currently looking for volunteers to companion our Adult Foster Care residents on activities such as: fishing, cooking, walking, hiking, state park visits, zoo visits, craft learning, YMCA visits… and more! Getting our residents out and active with volunteers will improve the residents’ health, may reduce the risk of diabetes and will encourage the formation of healthy habits in their lives.
